Start off your three-day weekend with some good news! Friday's Los Angeles Times has a wonderful opinion piece by Friends of 415 PCH Chair Joel Brand on the fight over Santa Monica's public beach club.
The title, which the Times editors wrote, says most of it: "Beachfront NIMBYs -- A wealthy group of Santa Monica homeowners wants to stop a historic private beach club on public land from going, well, public."
It's even featured with a great historic photo on the front page of www.latimes.com just below the first screen.
You can read the op-ed here: www.latimes.com/news/opinion/
In other 415 PCH news, the city has now completed 100% of the design development drawings and the project continues on schedule. This fall the City Council will award the construction part of the contract.
